1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Local Hands platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the service.

2. Description of Service

Local Hands is an online platform that connects individuals seeking help with tasks ("Locals" or "Customers") with individuals willing to perform those tasks ("Helpers"). We provide the platform for connection and payment processing, but we are not an employer of Helpers.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our service.

4. Helper Obligations

• Helpers must pass our required background and identity checks.
• Helpers agree to perform accepted jobs professionally, safely, and to the specifications agreed upon.
• Helpers act as independent contractors, not employees of Local Hands.

5. Payments and Fees

Customers set the price for jobs upfront. Payments are held securely and released to Helpers upon successful completion of the job. Local Hands charges a platform fee which is clearly outlined during the transaction process. All payments are processed through our third-party payment provider, Stripe.

6. Liability and Dispute Resolution

Local Hands acts solely as a marketplace. While we vet Helpers, we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the tasks performed. Any disputes between Locals and Helpers should be resolved between the parties, although Local Hands offers a dispute mediation process for significant issues.
